The artist's nephew Frank went to college in Montana, and one summer his father (also a Frank) and Ray went to visit jr. at Glacier National Park. Ray's heart and spirit were inspired by the sacred mountains in this open expanse of America's west. He looks at this painting and imagines himself sitting alone and daydreaming on the lakefront.
