According to the artist, "We were expecting to work with one model for six 2-hour sessions and complete one bust. The model found another longer assignment so she just didn't show up for the last four sessions. Having completed only the shoulders and neck, I started to add clay slabs to form the head when I remembered always wanting to craft a bust that looked like it came from an Egyptian museum. The bust is hollow and very heavy. I was delighted it survived two firings."
